The Greek government is focusing on digital nomads

In an interview for Passenger.gr, the secretary of Tourism Policy and Development Mrs. Vicky Loizou mentioned that the Greek government is focusing on digital nomads and spoke about the desire of the Greek Government and the Prime Minister himself to follow a plan to attract digital nomads to Greece.

The Greek government is preparing a plan in which the Ministry of Tourism will promote the necessary regulations and policies that will increase the popularity of Greece as a great destination for digital nomads. Mrs. Loizou stated that the Greek government wants to create a favourable taxation environment for digital nomads.

Additionally, Greece seeks to create an attractive environment for digital nomads, through upgrading the Greek telecommunication network and the development of 5G networks, making visa procedures easier and more flexible, offering world-class entertainment and amenities, and all this at a low cost of living.
