The region of Crete creates a website for the “digital nomads”

On its initiative, the Region of Crete has created the digital platform www.workfromcrete.gr , intending to attract “digital nomads” to the region of Crete. This is the first website on this topic at the regional level, proving that the Region of Crete considers the phenomenon of digital nomads of utmost importance for the local economy. Soon the EOT offices abroad, the Embassies of foreign countries in the country, and the private entities involved will be informed about the initiative.

This website intends to highlight the reasons and comparative advantages of Crete as a destination for digital nomads from all over the world. The platform will contain all the necessary information that someone will need if they want to settle and work from Crete, linking them to various institutions abroad.

At the presentation of the new platform, Stavros Arnaoutakis, Regional Governor of Crete, said: “The Region of Crete is opening a new window to the world. By reacting to a new global trend, we offer the necessary information to people, who want to work in a beautiful and authentic place. Through www.workfromcrete.gr, the “digital nomads” will be in touch with Crete and will get the information they are looking for on both institutional issues and issues that highlight the island’s innovation map and employment opportunities. The Region of Crete has high-quality Educational and Research Institutions and provides digital infrastructure ready to support any employee who decides to set up their business on the island. The hospitable climate and the authenticity of the experience are the basis on which we are making an open call to millions of citizens from abroad who wish to work from Crete”.
